Membership Fees
Membership fees for the period 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026 are detailed below. 50% of the fee applies if membership commences after 31 December 2025.
The standard adult membership fee is R1575 per person. The standard junior membership fee (for those who are under 18 or a full time student) is R500 per person. The fee for senior citizens (60 years and over) is R800.
For a family of 3 there is a discount of 5%, hence an adult fee of R1496 and a junior fee of R475. For a family of 4 there is a discount of 10%, hence an adult fee of R1418 and a junior fee of R450.
In conclusion, these fees offer great value and hopefully encourage you to become a member and play tennis at Plumstead Tennis Club.
Court Access
A membership tag will be issued at a cost of R100 per tag once the application form is completed and the membership paid in full. Courts are generally locked and accessible via the tag. Additional or replacement tags can be obtained at a cost of R100 per tag.
Please take special care not to lose your tag as they are bought in bulk once or twice a year and so may not be readily available. The R100 paid for the tag is refundable should your membership be cancelled and the tag returned.
Members are urged to always close the gate after entering or leaving the court. This prevents giving unnecessary access to non-members or non-paying visitors.
Court Floodlights
Court floodlights will only be available for free use on practice night, which is every Thursday from 5pm to 7pm. At all other times, a fee of R40 per hour, per court will apply. The fee can be paid directly to any committee member or the caretaker. A receipt must be issued for this payment.
Visitor Fees
Visitor fees are R100 per court for 90 minutes (irrespective of the number of people playing).
Visitors can access the club during the following days and times:
- Wednesday to Friday from 3pm to 6.30pm
- Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 6pm
Visitors are requested to check there is court availability first. This can be done by contacting the groundsman Joseph on 084 598 1550. The visitor register should be completed and payment can be made to Joseph or any committee member.
Club Hours
Official club hours are generally 9am to 8pm in winter and 6am to 9pm in summer.
